Garden Gallery
This addition was inspired by the homeowners’ desire primarily to showcase their art collection and also serve as an informal living space and guest bedroom. The design was to be sympathetic to both the original 1927 structure and 1996 John Replinger addition while maintaining their beloved backyard gardens. The addition responds by delicately connecting to a corner of the existing structure and nestling into the garden with outdoor verandas on three sides hovering within the landscape. The balance of light, privacy and choreographed vantage points are carefully considered, including the large south-facing glazed opening that connects the interior to the gardens.
"Janna made the entire experience from design to completion a true partnership and a most rewarding experience."
