The homeowners were drawn to this property for its location in a neighborhood rich with mid-century architectural history, its innate privacy, and the wall of south-facing glass in the living space. A major renovation was desired to resolve some plan oddities, introduce more light throughout, update the building systems and elevate the interior experience. Thoughtful gestures to this modest footprint have created fluid spaces that feel comfortable in scale and movement. The new interior material palette enhances the mid-century structure, such as highlighting the exposed post and beam in a natural finished white oak. This is a phased project. The exterior will be completed in 2026.
